Valentine's Frogs, Lips, Stamps and Square - Love is in the Air

I copied these cookies from a few of my favorite blogs. I thought they were really pretty!

The start of my Valentine's cookies....sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find that prince!

Valentine's Cake and Cupcakes

Happy Valentine's Day! Here's my Red Velvet cake I made. It was delicious! I didn't have a heart shaped pan so cut the 2 9 inch round pans my self. Not a bad heart shape I must say! Raspberry filling was in the middle.

And then what do I do with the leftover icing? I made cupcakes! My little man Trevor sure thought these were tasty! He gobbled 2 up right away.

Get Well Cookie Bouquet

This month I made a cookie bouquet to wish a friend a "speedy recovery". My first try at baking cookie pops! A bit thicker than I'm used to making and I was worried about how long to cook them but they turned out okay. Trevor is my little helper. He helped me bake a batch of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. He loves to help me mix and crack the egg!

Dad's Birthday Cake and Cookies

After taking a break for a few weeks from the holiday rush of Christmas cookies, I jumped back in to make some cookies for a few birthdays that were coming up! My Dad's 72nd Birthday and I had to of course make some cookies. Every year my parents go on die hard diets so I had to try to come up with something that would be okay with that. The cookies still looked the same, but boy were they hard to roll and work with. A recipe I found on the internet with half the butter. I didn't think they tasted too bad but not sure I'd make them again. They weren't as rich and a bit dryer than normal. But I loved the bright colors with all the fun Birthday things.
I also made a tasty lemon cake which is my Dad's favorite flavor. I haven't gotten as much practice decorating cakes so I'm not too great at those. So any excuse for a cake I make one! The cake was pretty tasty!
